Cerrado das Águas Embraces Territorial Regeneration
After ten years of work, Cerrado das Águas adopts territorial regeneration as its new positioning and unveils its new brand identity. The organization now integrates soil, biodiversity, water, and production as parts of a single system, bringing together producers, companies, knowledge, and capital to transform territories into living systems where regeneration, production, and prosperity share the same future.


Territorial Regeneration Forum Drives Cerrado Transition
The 2026 Territorial Regeneration Forum will bring together farmers, researchers, companies, public institutions, and market representatives in Patrocínio, Minas Gerais. Organized by Cerrado das Águas, the event will connect science, production, finance, and public policy to discuss solutions that accelerate the regenerative transition and strengthen climate, water, productive, and economic resilience in the Cerrado Mineiro.


Training Prepares Farmers for Fire Prevention in Rural Areas
Cerrado das Águas conducted a fire prevention and firefighting training session for farmers and rural communities. With guidance from the Fire Department, the training covered identifying high-risk areas, building firebreaks, using equipment, and controlling initial fire outbreaks, helping protect properties, productive areas, native vegetation, and areas undergoing restoration in the Cerrado Mineiro.

Cerrado wetlands store more carbon than the Amazon
A study published in the journal New Phytologist reveals that wetlands in the Cerrado Mineiro region can store up to six times more carbon than areas of the Amazon. By analyzing deep soil layers, researchers found that previous estimates significantly underestimated carbon stocks.
