THEY CULTIVATE THE FUTURE
The Cerrado das Águas Consortium (CCA), in partnership with CEPF and IEB, is expanding its area of operation and scope of its initiatives, aiming to empower women in the construction of sustainable landscapes in the Cerrado Mineiro region. To this end, it will promote sustainable agricultural practices in the basins where it operates and their surrounding areas, in addition to strengthening groups and training them in sustainable agriculture concepts and practices.
The NETWORK OF WOMEN BUILDING REGENERATIVE LANDSCAPES IN THE CERRADO MINEIRO (MINEIRO CERRADO ) contributes to this goal and strengthens women's involvement in the region. Our first action is to identify women residents and/or rural producers, inspiring leaders, or organizations that could also become partners in the dissemination of sustainable agricultural practices.
The role of CCA in strengthening Female Leadership
The Cerrado das Águas Consortium (CCA) recognizes the importance of involving women in this process of transformation and adaptation to the new climate scenario. The CCA's work has expanded and become structured within an expansion corridor established for the Cerrado region of Minas Gerais, using techniques that consider biodiversity, environmental threats, ecosystem services, and the landscape composition of productive areas as elements for connecting landscapes, with the aim of connecting and strengthening production and conservation areas.
The proposal is to strengthen women's participation in this expansion corridor by connecting participants in the Conscious Producer Investment Program (PIPC) with other women and groups active in the region.
CCA seeks not only to reinforce sustainable agricultural practices, but also to include women as leaders and agents of change in this process of environmental adaptation and protection.

Women on the front lines of sustainability in the Cerrado
Rural producers and their entire families play an essential role in environmental conservation, especially due to their close relationship with the environment. In the Cerrado region of Minas Gerais, a region vulnerable to climate change and the misuse of natural resources, women have proven to be essential agents in the management, protection, and regeneration of this biome.
Its leading role, present in both agricultural activities and conservation practices, is fundamental to building a more sustainable and resilient future.

Join the Network of Women Builders of Regenerative Landscapes
The Cerrado das Águas Consortium is providing this form to identify women already involved in conservation or interested in building a climate-resilient environment with greater production security. This form will facilitate access to training and support, as well as create a network for mutual strengthening, called the Network of Women Builders of Regenerative Landscapes . The project is being implemented in partnership with CEPF (Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund) and IEB (International Institute of Education of Brazil).
Support
The project is executed in partnership with CEPF (Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund) and IEB (International Institute of Education of Brazil).
The Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund is a joint initiative of the Agence Française de Développement, Conservation International, the European Union, the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Japan, and the World Bank. A key goal is to ensure civil society engagement with biodiversity conservation.
The International Institute of Education of Brazil (IEB) serves as the Regional Implementation Team for the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF). The IEB's mission is to strengthen social actors and their leading role in building a just and sustainable society through training, strengthening and coordinating institutions and community groups, and generating and disseminating knowledge.
