On December 11, the Cerrado das Águas Consortium (CCA) will hold the 4th Meeting of the Network of Women Builders of Regenerative Landscapes in the Cerrado Mineiro - Rural Entrepreneurship: women building sustainable businesses; an initiative that strengthens women's participation in the territory and reaffirms the role of women as agents of innovation, care, and environmental transformation. The event will take place in the morning at the Casa da Cultura in Serra do Salitre-MG.

"In this edition, the focus will be on rural female entrepreneurship, recognizing that each business created and run by women in the Cerrado Mineiro represents not only income generation, but also the construction of trajectories of autonomy, identity, and positive impact on the landscape. The meeting will bring together producers, leaders, and entrepreneurs for a moment of exchange of experiences, collective learning, and articulation of opportunities that connect sustainability, market, and territorial development,"

says Fabiane Sebaio, Executive Secretary of the CCA.

The Network's initiative represents a movement to strengthen the presence of women in the countryside and in environmental governance in the Cerrado Mineiro region. Through meetings, they share experiences, challenges, and paths to resilient, sustainable agriculture and become active in building biodiverse landscapes. The keynote speech will be given by Lorena Mangabeira. With the theme “Sustainable Entrepreneurship,” the mentor in balance, well-being, and a culture of trust in agriculture will point out ways to strengthen women's leadership for the sustainability of rural businesses.

The action has the support of CEPF – Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund and IEB – International Education Institute of Brazil. CEPF is an international initiative that brings together the French Development Agency, Conservation International, the European Union, the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Canada, the Government of Japan, and the World Bank, with the aim of strengthening civil society participation in biodiversity conservation. The IEB acts as CEPF's regional implementation team, promoting training, institutional strengthening, and knowledge dissemination in favor of a more just and sustainable society.

The 4th Women's Network Meeting reaffirms the CCA's vision that solutions for a more resilient Cerrado require the active participation of women, as they demonstrate their commitment to the proposal by driving movements, organizing communities, caring for water, land, and people, and sustaining production models that combine tradition, innovation, and social and environmental responsibility.
